Pedalheads™ believes in building strong communities and this year all funds raised at our Treasure Hunts and through the sale of our bracelets will go to local neighbourhood houses and family resource centres.

WHEN AND WHERE?
The Great Pedalheads™ Treasure Hunt will be held from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. You don’t have to be there right at 10:00am. It will take about an hour to complete the hunt, so anytime before 12:00pm is great!

WHAT?
There will be lots of riding, activities and prizes for all ages. The hunt will take approximately one hour so bring your bikes and your helmet (trikes, training wheels and run bikes welcome too). Get on your bikes and clues will lead you from station to station. At the finish there will be prizes for everyone. You will also be able to enter your name into a prize draw, prizes courtesy of Norco, Rack Attack Vancouver and Different Bikes. Don’t forget, you are welcome to bring friends and family! The event is by donation (suggested donation $5.00).

THE PEDALHEADS® CHALLENGE
For our riders who are 8 and older this skills course will be set up on site at all the Treasure Hunts across Canada!

Kids gain points for each event. The total score will earn each rider a participation prize or a bronze, silver or gold medal.
Included events: Timed track stand, timed cone slalom course, standing sprint, ladder bridge challenge and can crush.

TRIALS STARS BIKE SHOW at 12:30 pm
The people from TRIALS STARS will be coming to the Coquitlam, Vancouver, North Vancouver and Langley Treasure Hunt locations. You will be ‘wowed’ with the tricks and skills displayed by these world class athletes. Their performance will start at 12:30pm. Click here to check out their website.

TRi KiDS RACES

TRi KiDS Triathlons are non-competitive, safe events designed for 3-15 year olds. We promote and celebrate participation in three fun ‘lifestyle’ sports; swimming, biking and running.

Our philosophy is one of complete not compete. Focusing on the achievement of each young individual, our goal is to inspire self-confidence and motivate kids to stay active through sport.

We believe kids need to participate in activities that provide a positive experience. We create memorable events where the athletes are the focus and their accomplishment is celebrated by their family and friends, our volunteers and us.

The distance each athlete completes will be based on their age on December 31, 2013. Using this date allows for a uniform placement into the appropriate age group. As an example, all athletes turning 8 this year, whether their birthday is in January or December, will be placed in the 8-9 age group. Their AGE on race day is not used to determine the age group.

RIDE IN THE PARK
When: Saturday June 22, 9:30 – 11:00 am
Where: Meet at 9:30 am in the marshalling area on West 10th and Tolmie on the south side beside the BC Hydro sub station.
How: The contest and awards will take place first and then we’ll all ride in the parade. All participants will receive a prize. There will also be prizes for each age group (4-7, 8-11), for the craziest bike and the best overall bike.

Come join Pedalheads®, Mr. Mike’s, Cap’s Westwood Cycle and CoquitlamMommy at Coquitlam Centre on Sunday April 21st for a great family event in support of this year’s Wheel 2 Heal fundraiser (May 4th at Town Centre Park).

The event will run from 10am – 1pm with plenty of fun activities planned!

We will meet at Coquitlam Centre, the parking lot at the corner of Pinetree Way and Barnett (2929 Barnet Highway, Coquitlam).

Schedule:
10 am – 11:30 am: Bike Decorating
11:30 am – 12pm: Parade To Mr. Mike’s
12 pm – 1 pm: Awards and Lunch at Mr. Mike’s (complimentary Kids meal with every adult meal purchased)

Awards will be given to the best decorated bikes for the following age groups:
• Under 3 years old
• 3-5 years old
• 6-8 years old

Throughout the hours of the event, Pedalheads will have an exciting obstacle course that kids can zoom through on their bikes. Also, test your luck on the Pedalheads spinning wheel and win a snazzy prize!

Remember to mark down Sunday April 21st on your calendars, and come on down to enjoy a fun day of biking, parading and prize winning!

Please note: All of those that arrive will have the opportunity to register for this year’s Wheel 2 Heal bike race, FREE Kid’s race and fundraiser to raise proceeds for Eagle Ridge Hospital.
