This location offers the following rides:
Level 1 & 2:
The beginning levels stay on-site and ride on the grass and cement areas. There are shaded and covered areas between the school buildings and portables in case of sun or rain!
The Pedalheads level has more mobility, so also rides on the many safe and scenic trails behind the site in the Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest.
There are several quiet streets behind the school for an introduction to street riding. Using these, Advanced Pedalheads™ can make their way to Sunnyside and Jessie Lee Parks as well as through the network of trails through the Urban Forest to Huntington, Dogwood and Bridlewood Parks.
Level 5 – 7:
Gearheads, Treadheads and Shockheads need hills to work on proper gear-shifting, cadence and stamina. As well as the above, some of the places they ride include: Bakerview, Southmere Village, Semiahamoo Trail and Alderwood Parks. For longer jaunts, they can ride on the streets and trails past Dunsmuir Farm to Blackie Spit, Crescent Park and Crescent Beach.
Upper Levels 8+:
For additional challenge, Crankheads ride all the above plus do field trips to Elgin Heritage Park, Redwood Park, the SSAP Mountain Bike Park and sometimes all the way to the Glades!
Our South Surrey staff are mature, patient and love working with young children. They are all skilled and experienced instructors who are certified in their field and hold first aid certificates. Each instructor also participates in a custom training program to learn the standards and safety procedures of the Atlantis & Pedalheads™ method of teaching.
